How to Use Vidoget
Downloading your favorite videos and audio is incredibly simple and completely local to your machine. Follow these easy steps to get started.
Step 1: Copy a Video Link
Find a video you want to download on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter/X, or any of our 1,000+ supported platforms. Copy the URL from your browser's address bar or the app's "Share" button.
Step 2: Paste & Analyze
Go to the Vidoget homepage and paste the link into the search bar. You can right-click and paste, or simply press Ctrl + V (Windows) or Cmd + V (Mac). The app will automatically clean up messy tracking URLs and instantly begin analyzing the video to fetch the title, thumbnail, and available quality formats.
Step 3: Choose Your Format
Once the analysis is complete, a list of available formats will appear. You can choose to download the highest quality video (up to 4K where available) or just extract the audio (MP3). Click on the format you prefer.
Step 4: Download
Click the Download button. Vidoget will securely process the video directly on your local machine using our powerful backend engine. A progress bar will show you the exact status of your download. Once finished, your clean, merged, and optimized file will be waiting for you in your local Downloads/Vidoget folder!
Frequently Asked Questions
- Where do my files go? By default, all finished files are saved to a
Vidogetfolder inside your computer's standardDownloadsdirectory. - Why does it say "Error"? Ensure your backend server is running locally. Vidoget requires its local Node.js engine to securely process heavy files without relying on slow cloud servers.
- Is there a limit? No! Since the processing happens on your own hardware, there are no file size limits, rate limits, or paywalls.
